Architect‑Designed Leisure Building with Home Gym, Virtual Golf and Garden Bar

This project involved designing a bespoke leisure building to complement the clients’ existing swimming pool and beautifully landscaped garden. The new structure provides a high‑quality recreational hub, incorporating a fully equipped gym, a virtual golf range, a games room, a bar, and a flexible entertaining space for family and friends.

With young grandchildren regularly visiting, the clients also wanted a dedicated art studio, offering a creative space where they can experiment, learn and enjoy hands‑on activities in a safe and inspiring environment.

The building was designed to be highly adaptable, with a layout that supports both intimate gatherings and larger social events. Multiple zones allow the space to function independently or open up seamlessly for bigger celebrations, ensuring year‑round usability.

Architecturally, the leisure building features a modern, energy‑efficient design that uses sustainable materials and maximises natural light. Large openings frame views across the garden and surrounding landscape, creating a strong indoor–outdoor connection and enhancing the overall enjoyment of the space.

This contemporary addition provides the clients with a versatile, future‑proof leisure facility that enriches their home and lifestyle.

EAST SUSSEX BUNGALOW EXTENSION AND RECONFIGURATION

The new owners of this Sussex property wanted to completely change the external and internal image of a classic single storey rectangular brick bungalow. We worked with our clients to give them an extension that was fully glazed allowing a more direct link with the garden and the wow factor that they wanted. The new extension housed an open plan kitchen, dining and living space with full width glazing overlooking the stunning view.

The internal walls and window openings were reconfigured to provide a luxurious master bedroom suite. The master bedroom had a free standing bath and new large sliding doors opening onto a private terrace. The external elevations were transformed with a new entrance hall and canopy. All the walls are to be clad in charred timber boarding to give the elevations a sharp modern feel.
