This project involved transforming a charming semi‑detached home on the edge of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) through a carefully designed loft conversion and modern side extension. The homeowners wanted to increase their living space, improve the internal layout and make the most of the property’s beautiful garden setting.

A new loft conversion was created to add two additional bedrooms and a contemporary shower room, providing valuable extra accommodation for family and guests. This thoughtfully planned upper‑level extension enhances the home’s functionality while remaining sensitive to its AONB surroundings.

The outdated conservatory was removed and replaced with a modern side extension, significantly expanding the kitchen and entertainment areas. The new open‑plan layout features improved natural light and enhanced views of the garden, creating a bright, sociable space ideal for everyday living and hosting.

Sustainability was an important part of the brief. The clients prioritised reusing and recycling materials wherever possible and chose to remain in the property throughout the works. The construction team worked closely with them to minimise disruption and ensure the project progressed smoothly.
