Light‑Filled Home Extension with Pivot Doors and Modern‑Meets‑Traditional Design

This architectural project was designed for a growing family who needed significantly more space. We created a large house extension that increased both the living areas and the number of bedrooms, transforming the property into a more functional and future‑proof family home.

The new reception spaces are light, airy and beautifully connected to the outdoors. Large pivoting doors open directly from the living room and master bedroom onto the garden and terraces, enhancing natural light and creating a seamless indoor–outdoor flow.

A key feature of the project was the extension of the property’s traditional thatched roof, allowing us to blend modern architectural elements with the cottage’s original character. The result is a unique combination of contemporary design and traditional craftsmanship, both inside and out.
