Complete House Renovation with Garden Office Pod and Garage Conversion

This project began with a familiar challenge for many modern homeowners: both clients worked from home and needed dedicated, well‑designed spaces that allowed them to focus while maintaining separation from busy family life. The solution was a comprehensive refurbishment and full reconfiguration of the property to create functional family areas, improve circulation, and enhance the relationship between each room.

A key part of the redesign involved introducing new, carefully considered fenestration to maximise natural light and frame the property’s spectacular views. Large openings now provide immediate access to the adjacent terrace, strengthening the connection between the interior and the surrounding landscape.

The clients also wished to expand the home’s flexibility. The existing garage was converted into independent guest accommodation and a gym, offering additional living and leisure space without altering the footprint of the main house.

To meet the need for quiet, focused work areas, we designed a garden office pod with easy access from the house. Due to the sloping topography, the pod was elevated on stilts and nestled among the trees, creating a secluded workspace with exceptional views — a peaceful retreat perfectly suited to remote working.
